The garden is staffed by local volunteers and is intended to be self-sustaining with no pesticide use. The produce, such as fruit, herbs and nuts are selected to work with the climatic conditions and utilise a fully recycling irrigation system. The landscape is intended therefore as real working garden, rather than a manicured visual element of the design.
